Celebrating Myopia Awareness Week: A Commitment to Vision Health

As Myopia Awareness Week 2024 unfolds, we at Myopia Focus are proud to join hands with global organisations and the Eye Care community to spotlight the growing concern of myopia. This initiative is crucial, as it shines a light on the rising prevalence of myopia and its potential to affect visual health worldwide.

Our Role in Myopia Awareness Week

Myopia Awareness Week is a key moment for us at Myopia Focus to reaffirm our commitment to raising awareness about myopia, also known as short or nearsightedness. This condition not only impacts the ability to see distant objects clearly but can also lead to serious eye health issues if left unmanaged. By participating in this week, we aim to support the education of parents, children, and health professionals about the importance of early detection and effective management of myopia.

Partnerships with Visionaries

MAW was created by the Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI), a leading nonprofit organisation dedicated to researching vision correction and preventing blindness and vision impairment. Their efforts in understanding myopia progression and developing strategies for prevention are commendable. Their dedication to creating accessible, advanced vision care for everyone aligns perfectly with our goals at Myopia Focus.

Furthermore, we celebrate the contributions of the Review of Myopia Management, a key resource for eye care professionals. This platform offers the latest research, techniques, and discussions surrounding the management of progressive myopia. Through in-depth articles and studies, the Review of Myopia Management helps practitioners stay at the forefront of effective myopia care.
